As soon as El Chorro wedding venue opened its doors in 1937, it started to become the stuff of legends. It welcomed characters from across the globe to stay, feast, and make memories that would be told for years. Clark Gable and Milton Bearle were regulars, while Robert Norris (AKA The Marlboro Man) kept his pet elephant here. It was purchased by a new group in 2021 and underwent renovations that kept all the unique charm while adding in some luxury!
Details of the Grounds
When you plan a wedding at El Chorro, your day will start in their get-ready suite. This space harkens back to Old Hollywood with vintage furniture, antique vanities, and a stage where you can slip into your dress.
Your ceremony can take place out on the Event Lawn, where you can exchange your vows with the Camelback and Mummy Mountains just behind you. The meticulously kept lawn, as well as the string lights, will add the perfect amount of romance!
Cocktail hours will feel right at home with the Classroom Bar and Bocce Lawn. Your guests can order drinks at the Western-inspired bar, relax around a fire, and play lawn games back outside.
From there, it will be time for your reception. Outdoor parties can either opt for the Event Lawn or choose the vibrant and intimate Herb Garden. If you would prefer an indoor space, Casa Paloma is your spot! This room features a cathedral ceiling with crystal chandeliers, industrial white metal beams, and a large dance floor. With over 8 spaces to choose from for your wedding day, you can find your perfect spot! This venue is able to hold up to 300 guests.
